Do a research on the natural habitat of mockingbird. In your research, include the kind of flora and fauna you think exist in Maycomb and explain why the mockingbirds live in Maycomb.
Mockingbirds require open grassy areas for their feeding, thick, thorny shrubs for hiding the nest and high perches where the male can sing and defend his territory. They like to live near houses and forests. The gardens would be its favourite dwelling place especially if there are winter berries available. It has to live in a place where there are insects, berries and seeds. Mockingbirds require open grassy areas for their feeding, thick, thorny shrubs for hiding the nest and high perches where the male can sing and defend his territory. They like to live near houses, forests, thickets and farmland. The gardens would be its favourite dwelling place especially if there are winter berries available. It has to live in a place where there are insects, berries and seeds, because mockingbirds mainly feed on this kind of food.
In Maycomb, where it is a quite backward society and not so urban, there will be farmlands and forests. The people who live in Mayomb will most probably have their gardens in your yard, for example, Miss Maudie Atkinson, who likes to grow her garden. There are also more natural growth in Maycomb because it is a less developed place. Mockingbirds can be found in cultivated and sub-urban land.
